When I was a kid the only nuts I would eat were peanuts and walnuts - even they were debatable but chocolate made them more convincing. Then, in my early twenties I worked for a fruit and nut store, which quickly became my downfall. My first mistake was cashews followed by
all the rest: almonds, pecans, brazil nuts, macadamia, etc., etc. In my late twenties I had a rural newspaper motor route and tips were always good. At Christmas tips were great but the BEST tip was from one house that always left me a three can gift pack of Planters Nuts each year in the paper box. I took special care with that customer all year.....sad, I'm such a monkey! LOL! In my late thirties
I discovered UNsalted nuts. I like salt but WOW - with unsalted you can really taste the nuts themselves...way to intensify an addiction. No, not really an addiction but, man, I love nuts - haha :) Which brings me to the review.
When I buy a small can of mixed nuts I eat it in 2, 3 days tops. Not good! Now I buy a box of the Emerald brand 100 Calorie Snack Packs. I take one pouch to work with me, it's a perfect amount to satisfy the snack attack. I love these packs! Technically I could likely save money by buying a big can and then portioning them out into little zip lock baggies, but that doesn't work. Somehow, because the can is open and the baggies are resealable, I must think it's ok to keep going back and getting more.
So, if you're a nut like me, buy the Emerald 100 Calorie Snack Packs - there are many varieties. I'm currently eating the almonds and walnuts. Incredibly good, fresh, and satisfying!
